Release 0.6 todo list

Post length: 78 words, about 0 and a half minutes.

The following is a basic todo list / wishlist for release 0.6.  I’ll add to this as things crop up, and cross things off this as I implement them in my development version.  It’s possible some things listed here will end up being released prior to 0.6 if there’s the need for a futher 0.5.x release.

Major Functionality

  • Uninstall functions to remove all stored data.
  • Passing custom fields to remote blog.

Bugfixes & Minor Tweaks

  • Add nonce handling to settings page.

I think an interesting feature is for a site with a lot of users the possibility to give the plugin use to a list of users.

Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll add it to my future features list!

Hi Jonathon,
Thanks for a cool plugin. It is nearly exactly what I’m looking for to help get our school website working really well. I’m trying to get it set up so that teacher blogs will copy in to the main school blog so that they can all be viewed and filtered together.
I’m having a few problems though. I am using WP-MU, so that may be why I’m running into them, but hopefully they can be worked out anyway.

Thanks for the information Kevin. I’ll investigate those problems tonight and get back to you.

Wow! This plugin sounds excatly what I’m looking for. Can I use your code as a base for a custom plugin? I’d like to add some functionalities. 😉

Of course you may. I’d be interested to see any changes you make if there’re likely to be the kind of thing other people might be interested in (and if they’re not, I’d be interested to know where you spin it off to!).

I think it will be a mashup of yours and this plugin:

Your idea with the categories is great, but in my opinion a checkbox in the write panel is fool-proof. 😉
