Syndicate Out 0.3.1

Post length: 81 words, about 0 and a half minutes.

I have just released version 0.3.1 of the Syndicate Out WordPress plugin.

This minor revision fixes a bug encountered when editing the source blog entry — no longer will the same (effecivly a duplicate, albeit with the edits) entry be posted on the remote blog.  As this is a bugfix release it’s only got a minor revision number change, although I strongly advise all users to upgrade to this version as it’ll save you a whole load of headaches in the future!

hey, couldn’t find an email address so feel free to delete this.

I installed this and couldn’t find it under the Settings dropdown. I’ve done some plugin dev so i look in to see what was up and in the end i changed line 55 add_submenu_page()

I changed the “access_level/capability” from ‘Administrator’ to the numeric equivalent, and that worked. I’m using WP2.8.3

Thanks for the feedback. You’re not the first person to mention this, but it seems to be a patchy problem — I’ve seen some installs where it works and others where it doesn’t. I’ll look into your fix and see if I can find out why that would make any difference, and / or if it just works accross the board I’ll make that change to the repo. Cheers!

Just installed the plug-in in version 2.8.3 and am not seeing “syndication” appear in my settings menu. Is this because my version is too new?

I also had the same problem as randy, and also had the problem that the require for so-options was so_options in the file.

Good work though on the plugin.

Thanks Paul. You’re absolutly right — I changed the file names just before rolling the release and must have let that slip through. I’ll fix it in the next update (should be today, after I’ve done some more investigation into the other issue).
