This is the 3rd time I have written this entry now…and it’s getting annoying! It’s my fault, but that’s not the point – I crashed my computer first time, then reconnected the second time because it wouldn’t post, but I copied it so I didn’t have to rewrite it…and forgot to post it! So here we go again…
Its the last week of my exams this week, and I have 5 left – two computing on Thursday, two physics on Friday, and stats tomorrow. Stats wont me much fun – its the worst of the maths, and if any of the others are anything to go by then it is going to be hard. The Pure maths paper was the worst – in fact Joy (the tutor), said that it was the hardest pure maths paper she has seen for an A-Level, which was a good sign in a way, I suppose – I mean, if the whole group found it hard, and the tutor said it was the hardest she had seen, then everyone in the country must have found it hard…and so the grade boundaries would change wouldn’t they? We will see, but I am not optimistic about the maths at all. The rest have actually been not as bad as I thought, although the big theory ones are still to come – the computing and Physics.
I have done the computing practical exercise exam, and I am happy with that totally – answering questions about my program was easy really. The physics practical was OK, some people thought it was a bit odd, but I didn’t think it was too bad. Wish I had looked at spring constants before it though. Other exams haven’t been too bad: all the g/s exams were quite good, although in a day when I had 4 exams (2 sociology, and 2 g/s), and wrote 20 pages of A4 in 5 hours, I was loosing enjoyment with them at the end.
Sociology methods was alright, I am happy with that, and the questions in the other two papers weren’t too bad, I think I wrote some good stuff, but I don’t think I put in enough examples of studies and things, I only used a few. We will have to see, I hope I didn’t do too badly there 🙂
One good thing is that I never have to think sociology ever again! Its great! I was going to go to a stats revision session today, but I have had second thoughts and I don’t think I will do, but I don’t want to be stuck in the house all day, so I might go to college and take my sociology text book back, just for the satisfaction of it 😉
