I have been meaning to write this for a while now, but I havnt got round to it, never mind, here it is –
We just got the TV working again today – the ariel had been nocked out of place by the very stong winds that hit on Friday evening. It was mad, just seemed to come from nowhere.
No warning or anything, I was just talking to my parents in the snug, when I saw that is was raining. It rains alot, so thought nothing of it (why would you). The electricicty in this house flickers on and off sometimes in the wind and rain and things, and the lights flickered a little, so I thought I would come up here and turn off my computer so I didn’t loose the work I had on it, so I came up, and was saving things and shutting it down, when the rain suddenly got really bad, and I mean really bad. As my mum said – when you looked out of the window it looked as if you were under water, with the rain driving at the house. The wind also go up, and just got worse, as I looked out of my window I could see the trees bent right over in the wind, it was really strong. [read more]
I don’t know why, but I’m so tired today! I slept in for ages, and it wasn’t as if I got to bed that late (hmm, must have been about 2…), and I slept yesterday afternoon, but I’m still tired, don’t know why. Anyway, I’m going to be in bed by 12 tonight (that was the plan anyway, lol) – its back to college tomorrow, and although I don’t have any lessons until 12.45 tomorrow (because of this new 2 day timetable thing), I still have to be in at 9 for what will be, I’m sure, a total waste of time meeting. I don’t know what I will do with the rest of the time I have to spend before tutorial.
This holiday has gone too quickly. I suppose its because of the very long weekend at the beginning of the week (the Jubilee), mainly. But anyway, I can look forward to only 6 more days of college (how good does that sound, lol)…spread out over 3 weeks (slightly less good)…meaning only 17 1/4 hours of lessons left (heh, how sad is that, counting the hours 😛 ).
Yesterday I met Natalie in Halifax, and we came back here. In the afternoon we went with my mum (my dad was going to come with us, but he didnt get back from the other house soon enough), to the Halifax charity Gala. It was better than most years, but you know what that sort of thing is like, its not great. I suppose it is a nice day out of the house, and the atmosphere is good, and I got to have an ice cream (I have been after one for ages, but I havnt been able to get one because wherever I went the vans were either just dissapearing over the hill, not working, not there at all (like at the market, grr), or there when I was going past on my way somewhere else!). Anyway, I got one, lol.
The other notable thing was that I saw James. We were friends at primary school, but he changed schools (from the one I was at, to a private one, a few villages away). We didnt see each other much after that, but we did occationally. The thing is, James always wanted to be a paramedic when he was at school, and yesterday I saw him – now a memeber of St John’s Ambulance. I was really happy. Sadly he was ‘working’, so we didnt get to talk to each other, but we passed, and smiled. I think thats great 🙂
So today, I have done very little. The most notable thing being that I made some cheese scones…they are very nice, but no where near enough cheese, so I will remember that for next time.
Heh, I aught to be updating this more often now I have no excuse not to – not as if I am doing much else. So then, so far this week I have done really nothing of great importance (but you aren’t supposed to do in the holidays!).
My dad asked me to cut the grass on Monday, so I did, in the rain. The most annoying this is that it was drizzly all morning, and until about 2. At about 1.30, I decided that it wasn’t going to clear up, so went out to cut the grass (I know you aren’t supposed to cut grass in the rain, but I had to get it done!). It wasn’t too bad, the lawn mower only stalled a few time, and I managed to run out of petrol half way down, so had to trudge all the way back to the workshop to get the petrol can, and take it out to the thing, then take it back again…at least the can got a free ride on the lawn mower 😉 I watched the concert in the palace gardens on Monday too, and it was pretty good I thought, and the fireworks afterwards were very good (even on TV).
I saw Natalie on Tuesday (which was also a Bank Holiday), and got there just to find out that her dad’s car had decided to hit another one on Ovenden Way (OK, he drove into the back of them), so was being taken off for repair. That was my lift home going away on the back of a break-down lorry. Sooo, they suggested that I stayed there for the night. I rang my parents who, irritatingly, were happy to pick me up(!). They were going to the cinema though, so we (my mother and I) decided that it would be too early for them to pick me up before they went, and they wernt willing to pick me up afterwards (aww, shame 😉 ). So I stayed at Natalie’s house Tuesday night. We went for a walk down to the bottom of the nearby school fields and talked for a long time about all sorts, which I liked, and then went back and watched something that she wanted to watch about the Queen Mum and her husband. It was quite interesting.
I didn’t sleep much that night (because I was in a strange place, and her curtains are too thin, and because I’m not used to sleeping with another person there so I couldn’t get comfy and things), but I still liked it alot…ahhh, it is nice to be able to fall asleep with her in my arms then wake up with her in just the same place, I like it alot. Still, when I got home, I went to bed, and slept for another 4 hours Wednesday afternoon.
Today, I woke up at about 12 (I think it was, but I don’t know – my clock isn’t on because my dad has decided to steal the extension off me, claiming it is his (ooh, it annoys me because I know its mine, but he lost his for the stereo downstairs and so decided to take mine when I wasn’t in the house, and now claims I took it in the first place…grrr)), and decided to go out for a cycle. So I got out my dad’s bike (mine has been damaged for ages, and not got round to mending it), pumped up the tyres, and headed out towards a radio transmitter on the other hill side (had to have something to aim for, or I would have just got no where). I realised how unused to cycling I am, I was really worn out not far up the other hill side…I would never used to have been like that, but then I used to ride everyday, and I haven’t for ages recently. Anyway, when I got to the top of the hill I considered carrying on and dropping in on Natalie (I was about halfway, and the worst bit was getting up the hill), but decided not to, because I would probably just get there to find she just went out to work. Instead I turned round and came home. It took about an hour to get to the highest point, and only about 15 mins to get back, because it was all uphill…and yes, because I had to stop alot 😉
So that was the last few days. Only got 3 days more off, today (being Friday now), Saturday, and Sunday, then its back for the silly 2 day week, and ‘enrichment’ which wont happen. I think I might see if I can find something to do useful with the rest of the 3 days that I get off each week because its not like I will be able to do much else – everyone else will be back at school on a normal timetable, and Natalie is in college full time because of the course she is doing, sooo…I don’t know, have to see!
And now I want to get some tea 🙂
Yey! Well, that’s all my exams out of the way, yey. I had my last one today – Physics. The first one wasn’t too bad, but the second one wasn’t good – it had a lot of nuclear physics in it, and we didn’t cover that much so I’m not too sure on it. Heh, anyway, that’s it for this year, and I can sit back for a while until the results come through! [read more]
This is the 3rd time I have written this entry now…and it’s getting annoying! It’s my fault, but that’s not the point – I crashed my computer first time, then reconnected the second time because it wouldn’t post, but I copied it so I didn’t have to rewrite it…and forgot to post it! So here we go again…
Its the last week of my exams this week, and I have 5 left – two computing on Thursday, two physics on Friday, and stats tomorrow. Stats wont me much fun – its the worst of the maths, and if any of the others are anything to go by then it is going to be hard. [read more]
Hmm, there isn’t much actually, with exams and all, I haven’t had much time, but there are a few things.
Emma, Ben, Tim and Scott were going to go to White Rose this weekend, and Emma asked Natalie and I if we wanted to go with them. Natalie couldn’t because of her work, so she said no. I would have liked to, but I didn’t have any money and I wanted to spend time with Natalie – I don’t get chance to see her any other time really because we bot have full time college timetables, and especially during the exams we cant get out to see each other as much as we would like (Emma irritates me a little in that way – I mean since she dropped out of college she gets to see Ben whenever he has a free period and doesn’t seem to realise that is is harder for some of us who have to work round two of us not just one, that one of us cant just run to the other when we want with no other things that have to be done), so we want to see each other when we can – so I said I wouldn’t go either. I wanted to update properly today, but I haunt got time now – I wanted to do it earlier, but I fell asleep instead, which was nice, hehe. I will try to update again tomorrow when I get back from my maths exam, and I will be off catching up with other people’s lives too 🙂
Just want to say that, as of today, I never have to touch sociology ever again, and that is a fantastic feeling (almost at the same level as not ever having to ever do PE again, hehe).
I had 4 exams today, and have written 20 sides of A4 in 5 hours, and my finger still hurts from it all, hehe. Still, it means that I now have 2 complete subjects out of the way – Sociology and General Studies. I actually enjoyed the G/S paper 2 today, it was good fun.
Anyway, I will write more tomorrow 🙂
Just to think – only 1 week and 1 exam left this year, then that’s all I have to worry about, yey.
I said I would update again soon, and I have got bored with what I was doing, so I thought I would do this now.
I have finished all my exams for this week, the last one was Physics practical this morning from 9 until 11. I have tomorrow off exams, but there is a Physics revision session that I think I will go to – other wise I will have nothing to do all day, and wont know what to do with myself, like I have done today.
Actually, it seems a lot later than it is now – I had this exam this morning, so that meant getting up at the normal time for college (actually, a bit early), and going into college for about quarter to 9. That was over by 11.10, so I came back home again (I thought about going into Halifax, but I didn’t have much money on me, and I only wanted an ice cream, and I don’t think there would have been an ice cream van about on a Thursday. So I came straight home, and was back for 11.40. Since then I have been trying to find things to do. So far I have cut the grass in the field, messed about on my computer for a bit, and looked on the internet to find out how much it would cost to convert a double decker bus to a holiday home thing (you see, I want to buy one and get it converted, I thought about this the other day on the way home, just thought it would be fun, lol. I will never be able to afford it I don’t imagine, but I can have it planned out and then if I do get enough money… 😉
Actually, I am, for only the second time in my life, going to get a lottery ticket this weekend. I thought I might as well as it is only one pound for 4 draws this week (they renamed it ‘Lotto’, so are having a big prize giveaway thing making you entered into 4 draws for one ticket). So, you never know, I might be able to afford it after Saturday night. Then again…
I went off to Ben and Tim’s AS drama exam on Monday night and filmed it, I was really impressed with the result (the camera work was exceptional), and being able to see people from my old school again was nice. The play was good too, but if it was better than the last year production of the same thing (which I lit), I don’t know, but it was very good, and I think Tim was by far the best person in it (heh, its good not telling people about this diary, because then I can say things like that and not upset them), and Ben was good, but he cant seem to do ‘normal’ acting – weird things, yeah, he is great, but not for normal things, he just doesn’t seem to be able to do normal…I suppose he has an excuse – he isn’t normal 😛
The weather has been really nice today, its supposed to be the start of a mini-heatwave, but it just now seems to have turned a bit, and the sun has gone in, and the wind picked up, but we will see, it might still be a nice weekend, and might be the start of that heatwave, we will see.
Natalie and I are getting on fine. That’s about all there is to say about that. We haven’t got to see each other as much as we would like in the last week or so because of the exams. Still, just have to think – give it a few weeks and we will be able to be with each other loads more, and I can’t wait, but I have to get though my exams first. Her brother is bringing his girlfriend back to their house today, but its not fair – I wont get to meet her (I wanted to meet her, lol), and her mum isn’t much looking forward to that (she is worried about what she will be like, but as I said – I don’t think she has to worry too much, they are only 12, so if she doesn’t like him, then there is plenty of time for him to change his mind. Hmm, should I be saying things like that to my girlfriend’s mum? Seems a little odd to say that I am going out with her daughter…but she likes me a lot, or so I am told, and I suppose I can see it). I bought some love hearts as well on Wednesday – I was going into the shop at the bus stop to get some chocolate and they were just in front of me, and only 26p for a big pack, so I bought them. I was looking for nice ones to give to Nat (childish, yeah, I know, lol), but the best I could find were ‘my all’ and ‘forever’. I gave those to her when I came out of the shop. Actually, when I asked her, she said she hadn’t eaten them yet because it spoils the idea, but, well, I don’t know, I just thought I would give them to her just for fun, and she can eat them if she fancies 🙂
When I was on the phone to Natalie last night she told me about this guy who came into her work (blah, evil word…no, mustn’t think that, I do need a job), he had a yellow cardigan round his neck, and was bout 50. He asked her where the tins of fruit were. To cut a long story short, he asked if they had any smaller tins because he was a bachelor, and so wouldn’t eat a whole big tin, and she suggested that he could buy a big one, and cover it with clingfilm and put it in the fridge to use later, he said that was a good idea and went off to the checkout. She said it made her think (actually, she said that the thought had been wandering about in her head for a while, but this made her think about it more) – she said that she had decided that she can’t let me end up like that. This comes from a girl who for as long as I have known her has said that the ‘only thing I [she] would take up the isle would be a cleaning trolley’ (get us together and you get a string of either sick and twisted innuendo, or really bad jokes, its great). She is the last person I would think would say something like that…not that I think it’s a bad thing, but that is a bit odd…that and the other day when I, jokingly, said that I might get her an engagement ring for her birthday, she said that although it would probably be a silly thing to do, she would agree. Should I be worried? Well, no, I’m not. Even though she has said all that, I don’t think that if it came to it she would agree, and I don’t have any plans of propositioning her just yet. I can’t think of anyone in the world that I would rather, and I don’t think I ever will, but not just yet, thank you.
