Pointless Entry

Post length: 360 words, about 1 and a half minutes.

I wanted to go out today, but its just been stormy all day.  I suppose that we had to expect it after the nice weather that we have had, but it was the one day I wanted to go out.

Hmm, so what have I done?  Not much, in fact this is going to be a pointless entry, but that’s just the way it is, lol.

I got up at about 10.15, and came on the computer, in fact with all the time I spent on it today, I have nothing to show for it at all.  When the storms started I came off to stop my computer from getting fried, and I watched the Commonwealth games.  It is alright to watch every so often when I’m bored, I saw some swimming, some bowls and some squash…good fun 🙂  Then I went over to the workshop and drummed a bit, just because I had nothing else to do.  When I came back I was just washing my hands, when the rain suddenly came down in torrents.  When it rains the back drain blocks, so I put on waterproofs and went out to clear it.  Good fun.  Came in, had some food, went to bed for a little sleep, then came on here.  Good fun.

Hmm, so that’s me, lol.  Ben and Emma are…well, I don’t know.  After their split up, Ben said they were back together…but apparently Emma says they are not (that’s what Nat said she said).  Today Emma was supposed to go to Ben’s, and ring him at about 1, but she didn’t, so he is confused…sooo…as I say, I don’t really care anymore, I am going to sit back and watch and enjoy myself.  When they come to me all upset, I’m not going to care, I have had enough, I’m not going to be supportive, I have done that enough, and they keep pissing, about.  I know it sounds awful, but I have had enough, let them be silly, and I am going to watch…and I’m not changing my mind…that’s what I am going to do!

There you go, a pointless entry.

This Week Just Gone

Post length: 1,221 words, about 5 and a half minutes.

Wow, well, a lot has happened this week, its been a busy week (umm, this is last week I am talking about, lol).  It started off quite nicely with just rehearsals for the show we are taking to Epping on Tuesday, but it has had a lot of things go on since.

I don’t remember if I have written about Natalie’s birthday party in here before, but I can’t remember and so I will put it again (if you read it already, you can skip this paragraph 😉 ).  We were planning on going out to the Dusk ’till Dawn restaurant (the place Emma had her party) with people from theatre school and a few others, then come back here.  That should have been Thursday, and I went off to White Rose on Saturday to buy clothes with Nat and her mum on Saturday (I know I talked about that).  Now, Emma said that she would book the place, and had said this for a few weeks when, on Tuesday, she told Nat that, apparently, couldn’t afford it and that she was working (she works at McDonald’s.  Its quite funny, she works at McDonald’s and Ben, her b/f, now works at KFC, so wherever we go to eat we can get a reduction, hehe) that night so couldn’t come.  That also meant that she hadn’t booked the place and for some reason best known to themselves, it also meant that Ben couldn’t go either (do you see any logic in that?). This Last Week

Post length: 548 words, about 2 and a half minutes.

Hmm, well, I haven’t done much really – just been with Natalie most of the time, which has been nice 🙂

I went with her and her mum to the White Rose Centre yesterday to get her some clothes for her birthday which is on Thursday (same day as Ben’s birthday actually), and we got Ben a present for his too (actually, we only got a keyring which says ‘Heaven doesnt want me, and hell thinks I’ll take over’ but it was a start, and we thought it was quite appropriate as well).  I meant to get him a card today, but I managed to forget, drat, we will have to go and get one tomorrow.  Because we had to get the 10.30 bus to White Rose, we thought it would be better if I slept at Natalie’s on Saturday, so I did…or tried.  I don’t sleep well in other places, and I’m not used to having a lumpy girl snuggled up to me – not that I’m saying its a bad thing, it isn’t, far from it (nor am I saying she is lumpy, shes nice and soft but you know, lumpy as in…well…there), but I’m not used to it, and I find it hard to sleep unless its dark – her curtains are thin, and yellow, and mine have blackout linings, I’m just not used to it.  So I didn’t sleep very well that night.  I was planning on sleeping in today, but I didn’t, mainly because I stayed at her house last night too.  Her mum offered, and it did seem like a nice idea, so I did.  I slept a little better, but I’m still tired.  I will sleep tonight for a while I hope…sleep in tomorrow.  Actually, she is staying here on Wednesday just to look after me while my parents are away for the night.  I was wanting to have a nice romantic night in, but we have rehearsals for theatre festival that night now, which might spoil that a little.  Never mind.  Oh, then on Thursday night we are going out for a meal for her birthday, so I don’t know what will be happening there, probably come back here like we did after Emma’s party.  Then on Friday I am going bowling with her family (for her birthday, lol), so I will stay there that night, and Saturday, Ben is having a party, so I guess we will be staying there that night, and if not, there here sounds like a good option, its closer.

Talking about today (I was a while back, lol), I went to get Nat’s presents.  I got her this twisted silver bracelet from Samuel’s, which I like a lot, and a teddy thing that is holding its arms out wanting a hug, its really sweet.  I got her a card which is ‘To Someone Special’, with Tatty Teddy from the ‘Me to You‘ collection, which I like alot as well.  So thats what I got her, and I will give to her on Thursday morning.

Ah, I need to go and wrap it all, so I will be off.  I know there was more I wanted to say, just I can’t be bothered to find my dictaphone which is it all recorded on.

Theatre Festival 2002!

Post length: 1,738 words, about 7 and a half minutes.

It was fun, for the most part at least…a lot happened…

We went down on two mini buses this year (instead of the train like before, because of the costs and the awkwardness of changing and things), and its a good job we did because on the day we were traveling there was a strike on the London Underground which we would have to take for part of the journey if we did go by train.  On the way there I was in Laurence’s minibus.  I sat next to Ginger Emma originally, but just before we set off the person who was sat between Tracy and Lawrence in the front asked me if I would swap with her.  I thought I might as well, so I sat up front with them.  It was a bit of a squeeze, not much leg room where I was, but I got all the way to the services where we stopped for lunch, and then Matt swapped with me (much to the dismay of the other two in the front, lol, apparently, he was just talking constantly.  To tell the truth, no one at theatre school actually likes Matthew – on the Sunday I went shopping with Lawrence, and he described him as ‘the most irritating fat bastard he has ever met’, which I think describes him well, lol).  Anyway, as we got close to the place, and off the M25, we were following the other minibus, and they went the wrong way at one of the roundabouts, and we got lost.  Because Matt was in the front, and had the map, everyone on our bus blamed him (it wasn’t his fault at all, because we were following the bus in front of us, but that’s not the point, lol).  He got all the blame, then someone said that we didn’t get lost when I was in the front (not that I directed them at all, it was all on the motorway, following signs to London), and they started a chant of ‘Who do we want? – Jonathon, When do we want him? – On the way back!’  It was quite amusing.  We got there at about 3.30 on Thursday afternoon. Update

Post length: 708 words, just over 3 minutes.

Well not much has happened – I haven’t done much because there hasn’t been much to do.

Natalie has been working a shift from 12.30 – 3.30 last week (Monday to Friday anyway), and is this week too, so I can’t see her in the week, and I don’t have much to do in the week…but we spent the weekend together, which was nice, very nice.

My parents went off for the weekend to this sort of relaxation weekend in the North Yorkshire moors, and so I was alone with the cat at home.  Natalie first invited me to stay over at her house when her dad went out for the night on Friday, and her mum and brother were on holiday with her grandparents, but I couldn’t because of the cat, so she came here instead.  It was a really nice evening.  I met her from work, and we went to her house to let her get her stuff and have a quick clear round before her mum got home, then we came up here.  We were going to go for a walk, but after that, and having something to eat it was quite late and we wanted to watch the final of BB3.  We watched the first half of it from the snug, and then moved upstairs for the second half, and watched it in my room, all snuggled up in my bed, it was lovely.  Saturday we got up really late.  One of her friends rang her on her mobile, and they were talking for ages, so I thought I would potter outside and cut the top lawn while they talked, but just as I was about to start she came out.  Anyway, I cut it, then we sat outside in the sun, and I gave her the present that Emma had given me to give to her for her birthday (lol, late I know, but its been in my room for ages).  We sat out in the sun with the cat for most of the afternoon, and never got out for a walk like we planned…but it was nice, and I think it would have been too hot anyway.

Sunday I went to her house.  It was nice weather again, and this time we did go for a walk.  We went down to the school fields a little way from her house, and lay on the banking in the sun, it was nice, but we had to go because the dog was getting too hot and she didn’t have anything to drink.  Still it was lovely.  When we got back we had a barbecue. I don’t eat anything off them, but her mum made me an omelette which was nice, and then I had a doughnut. We also washed up in the end, after a lot of convincing Nat dried.

They have a swing-ball game, and its great fun…especially because I am actually quite good at it.  I hadn’t played it before then, but I beat them all, which was very satisfying, hehe… I’m feeling it now though, I ache in my arms and my back.  It made me want to play tennis again actually, but I doubt I will get chance any time soon.

Today I went into Halifax with Ben and Scott…then came home, hung the washing out for my parents, then went back to bed.  I was really tired because I went to bed late last night, and then had to be up early today to go to town and meet them at the bus station for 10.  Still, I did get about an hour or so this afternoon, so I’m alright now.  I will get an early night tonight too, because I don’t have much to do tonight, and I think that if its nice weather I will go for a cycle somewhere tomorrow…but I think they forecast storms for tomorrow, so I will see.  Wednesday I think I am going to Ben’s, so then I only have Thursday with nothing to do, before Friday, and I hope I will get to see Natalie – we are going somewhere on Saturday (to be decided), so I think one of us will be staying at the other’s house then!

Things other than college and exams

Post length: 870 words, almost 4 minutes.

Hmm, there isn’t much actually, with exams and all, I haven’t had much time, but there are a few things.

Emma, Ben, Tim and Scott were going to go to White Rose this weekend, and Emma asked Natalie and I if we wanted to go with them.  Natalie couldn’t because of her work, so she said no. I would have liked to, but I didn’t have any money and I wanted to spend time with Natalie – I don’t get chance to see her any other time really because we bot have full time college timetables, and especially during the exams we cant get out to see each other as much as we would like (Emma irritates me a little in that way – I mean since she dropped out of college she gets to see Ben whenever he has a free period and doesn’t seem to realise that is is harder for some of us who have to work round two of us not just one, that one of us cant just run to the other when we want with no other things that have to be done), so we want to see each other when we can – so I said I wouldn’t go either. Long Update

Post length: 1,234 words, about 5 and a half minutes.

I said I would update again soon, and I have got bored with what I was doing, so I thought I would do this now.

I have finished all my exams for this week, the last one was Physics practical this morning from 9 until 11.  I have tomorrow off exams, but there is a Physics revision session that I think I will go to – other wise I will have nothing to do all day, and wont know what to do with myself, like I have done today.

Actually, it seems a lot later than it is now – I had this exam this morning, so that meant getting up at the normal time for college (actually, a bit early), and going into college for about quarter to 9.  That was over by 11.10, so I came back home again (I thought about going into Halifax, but I didn’t have much money on me, and I only wanted an ice cream, and I don’t think there would have been an ice cream van about on a Thursday.  So I came straight home, and was back for 11.40.  Since then I have been trying to find things to do.  So far I have cut the grass in the field, messed about on my computer for a bit, and looked on the internet to find out how much it would cost to convert a double decker bus to a holiday home thing (you see, I want to buy one and get it converted, I thought about this the other day on the way home, just thought it would be fun, lol.  I will never be able to afford it I don’t imagine, but I can have it planned out and then if I do get enough money… 😉

Actually, I am, for only the second time in my life, going to get a lottery ticket this weekend.  I thought I might as well as it is only one pound for 4 draws this week (they renamed it ‘Lotto’, so are having a big prize giveaway thing making you entered into 4 draws for one ticket).  So, you never know, I might be able to afford it after Saturday night. Then again…

I went off to Ben and Tim’s AS drama exam on Monday night and filmed it, I was really impressed with the result (the camera work was exceptional), and being able to see people from my old school again was nice.  The play was good too, but if it was better than the last year production of the same thing (which I lit), I don’t know, but it was very good, and I think Tim was by far the best person in it (heh, its good not telling people about this diary, because then I can say things like that and not upset them), and Ben was good, but he cant seem to do ‘normal’ acting – weird things, yeah, he is great, but not for normal things, he just doesn’t seem to be able to do normal…I suppose he has an excuse – he isn’t normal 😛

The weather has been really nice today, its supposed to be the start of a mini-heatwave, but it just now seems to have turned a bit, and the sun has gone in, and the wind picked up, but we will see, it might still be a nice weekend, and might be the start of that heatwave, we will see.

Natalie and I are getting on fine. That’s about all there is to say about that. We haven’t got to see each other as much as we would like in the last week or so because of the exams.  Still, just have to think – give it a few weeks and we will be able to be with each other loads more, and I can’t wait, but I have to get though my exams first.  Her brother is bringing his girlfriend back to their house today, but its not fair – I wont get to meet her (I wanted to meet her, lol), and her mum isn’t much looking forward to that (she is worried about what she will be like, but as I said – I don’t think she has to worry too much, they are only 12, so if she doesn’t like him, then there is plenty of time for him to change his mind.  Hmm, should I be saying things like that to my girlfriend’s mum?  Seems a little odd to say that I am going out with her daughter…but she likes me a lot, or so I am told, and I suppose I can see it).  I bought some love hearts as well on Wednesday – I was going into the shop at the bus stop to get some chocolate and they were just in front of me, and only 26p for a big pack, so I bought them.  I was looking for nice ones to give to Nat (childish, yeah, I know, lol), but the best I could find were ‘my all’ and ‘forever’.  I gave those to her when I came out of the shop.  Actually, when I asked her, she said she hadn’t eaten them yet because it spoils the idea, but, well, I don’t know, I just thought I would give them to her just for fun, and she can eat them if she fancies 🙂

When I was on the phone to Natalie last night she told me about this guy who came into her work (blah, evil word…no, mustn’t think that, I do need a job), he had a yellow cardigan round his neck, and was bout 50.  He asked her where the tins of fruit were.  To cut a long story short, he asked if they had any smaller tins because he was a bachelor, and so wouldn’t eat a whole big tin, and she suggested that he could buy a big one, and cover it with clingfilm and put it in the fridge to use later, he said that was a good idea and went off to the checkout.  She said it made her think (actually, she said that the thought had been wandering about in her head for a while, but this made her think about it more) – she said that she had decided that she can’t let me end up like that.  This comes from a girl who for as long as I have known her has said that the ‘only thing I [she] would take up the isle would be a cleaning trolley’ (get us together and you get a string of either sick and twisted innuendo, or really bad jokes, its great).  She is the last person I would think would say something like that…not that I think it’s a bad thing, but that is a bit odd…that and the other day when I, jokingly, said that I might get her an engagement ring for her birthday, she said that although it would probably be a silly thing to do, she would agree.  Should I be worried?  Well, no, I’m not.  Even though she has said all that, I don’t think that if it came to it she would agree, and I don’t have any plans of propositioning her just yet.  I can’t think of anyone in the world that I would rather, and I don’t think I ever will, but not just yet, thank you.
